There are already over 68 million refugees and asylum seekers worldwide. There has to be a global discussion and resulting action on this very serious crisis caused by bad actor leaders of nations, insurrectionists, and terrorist groups. This crisis will only expand, as people are forced to flee their homes due to with increased catastrophic effects of climate change. All stable countries need to get involved and do their part involving refugees immediate needs, but also take action to affect change in the countries they are running away from.It is the work of people of faith and decency to welcome and assist refugees and asylum seekers to make difficult and painful adjustments more bearable. Government assistance must be provided as needed for refugees to return to their homelands as soon as peace or regime change is achieved, or sustainability is restored.
